Managing the validation process for meetings and events at the LA Convention Center was a very manual, inefficient process which required a lot of time and was very hard to track. The Convention Center knew they needed a better way of creating and distributing comps and validations so they partnered with Parking Panda to provide a streamlined customer experience.
The Convention Center’s goals were simple – to simplify and digitize an extremely manual process when it comes to the production and distribution of comp and validation tickets.
Parking Panda built a custom module that allows the parking operator to create specific comp passes for events and meetings and distribute these to venue and event managers. The venue and event managers then distribute the passes to the end user which allows them to access the parking facility by scanning their QR code/pass on their phone without having to pull a ticket or providing further payment.
Parking Panda’s Comps and Validations online tool allows the operator to create the comp and validated parking passes, import parking vouchers and parking passes, distribute the passes through email/text and set parameters around pricing, timeframe, and usage requirements. Operators can also quickly access real-time reporting either on their desktop or within the online tool to track and manage usage and inventory.
Parking Panda’s solution gives the operator a streamlined validation system that requires less manual attention. Comp passes can be distributed to an event manager with the click of a button and every pass is accounted for from secondary distribution to redemption. The solution gives drivers a less complicated and easier parking experience by simplifying and digitizing the parking process. Operators are also now able to see visual snapshots of their parking metrics while better managing the expectations of the customer and event manager.
Parking Manager at the LA Convention Center, Abraham Reyes, said, “ the comps and validation technology gives the parking department additional checks and balances by allowing for a clean audit, real-time distribution (email or text), reporting, and instant communication with the parking equipment.”
